FAQs

About Our Fabrics

What does Ishrat offer?

Ishrat offers refined unstitched fabrics for men and women, beginning with traditional men’s fabrics and expanding into women’s collections and accessories.

What does “unstitched” mean?

Our fabrics are supplied as unstitched lengths, allowing you to have them tailored according to your preferred fit and style.

How much fabric is included in each pack?

Every standard suit pack contains 4.5 metres of fabric, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

What type of fabric is it?

The fabric type, composition, season, texture and other relevant specifications are provided on each product page.

What is yarn count, and why does it matter?

Yarn count indicates the fineness of the yarn used to make a fabric. It is one of several factors that influence a fabric’s handle, appearance, weight and performance. We provide relevant technical details where applicable so customers can make informed choices.

How can I tell whether a fabric is good quality?

Quality is not determined by one specification alone. Yarn count, construction, fibre composition, finishing, weight, handle, durability and overall consistency all contribute to the character of a fabric. We aim to provide the relevant specifications and descriptions to help you understand what you are buying.

Will the fabric shrink or fade after washing?

Fabric performance can vary according to its composition, construction and finishing. Please follow the care instructions provided with the product. Where specific shrinkage or care information is available, it will be mentioned on the product page.

Overall, Ishrat takes special care in all its products so you need not worry about fade/shrink issues often faced in low quality products.

Will the colour look exactly like it does on my screen?

We make every effort to photograph our fabrics accurately. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography and individual screen settings.

About Ishrat

Where does Ishrat come from?

Ishrat’s roots go back to 1986, beginning in wholesale before expanding into the manufacturing of men’s and women’s finished articles and serving both local and international markets.

Why does Ishrat focus on unstitched fabrics?

Unstitched fabric allows customers to choose their own cut, fit and style. For an online brand, we believe it is important to offer the fabric first and leave the personal decisions of measurement and tailoring to the customer and their trusted tailor.

Is Ishrat only for people who already understand fabrics?

No. Our aim is to make good fabric easier to understand for everyone — whether you already know the difference between yarn counts, constructions and finishes or are simply looking for something that feels and lasts right.

Will Ishrat remain focused only on men’s fabrics?

Men’s fabrics are the beginning, not the limit. We intend to expand into women’s unstitched fabrics and accessories as Ishrat grows.
